Dance

“The beauty of dance lies in its dependence on balance. The struggle of the dancer is to maintain this balance. It is to bear the fragility and personal injury under the weight of the art form itself. The dancer must give of their soul without destroying their body. To dance for the audience without relying on the audience. To remain intact while dedicating a part of one's soul. To leave all performances in the past while looking to the future. In short, it is to seek God and yet to be human. This is my anchor of hope as an artist, remembering who I am in Christ.” - Anna Gardner Herren
